Florida School of Traditional Midwifery Celebration of International Midwifery Day

The Florida School of Traditional Midwifery will be celebrating International Midwifery Day on Thursday, May 5th at Sweetwater Branch Inn.  There will be hors d'oeurves, music, a silent auction and more!  The festivities begin at 6.30pm.  If you are interested in learning more about midwifery or homebirthing, this is a great way to meet the doulas and midwives that work in our community.

I'll be there covering the event and I've donated a Beloved session to the silent auction to benefit the school.  Beloved is a genre of photography that gives a couple the opportunity to take a moment out of their busy lives just to appreciate each other and celebrate their love. In a beloved session, I provide the space for the couple to play games, share secrets and remember why they fell in love and then simply document the story.  The couple will receive an 8x10 print on archival quality cotton paper (a renewable resource!), a DVD of the images and a link to an online gallery.
